Verse 1. May Hari (Viṣṇu), who desiring to embrace (Sarasvati) with his body stamped with the impress of the leaves³¹ of the jar-like bosom of the warmly embraced Kamalā (Lakṣmī), was bantered thus : "Perish not this fresh garland of flowers," by the goddess of speech (Sarasvati)—prosper you !
