Satyavadi. Ten miles to the north of Puri, there is a small village, named Satyavādi and noted for a temple of great sanctity. It is situated within three hundred yards of the main road and commands a large mart for grain and a small police station. As the last changing station for the Dāk to Puri, the place is also inhabited by a considerable number of *pālkī*-bearers. Judging from the number and condition of the shops I thought the grain trade there was in a flourishing condition.
