**Place of Narapada.** The next ancient relic of any importance now existing near Yājapur is a tumulus in a small village called Narapadā, two and a half miles to the south-east of the town. It is popularly described to be the ruins of the palace which Yayāti Keśarī had built here for his accommodation. It has, however, never been dug into and its true character is unknown. For aught we know it might turn out to be the remains of a Buddhist tope.
