Here the basis is posture and a particular point of attention is that images of Viṣṇu alone can have all these three postures, *i. e.* reclining posture is not admissible in any other god except Viṣṇu. Again in case of Vaiṣṇava images, each of these three kinds of images are further sub-divided into the following four varieties:—
