The richest sites as yet explored are those crowded together in the Yūsufzai country to the north and north-east of Peshāwar, comprising Jamālgarai, Sahrī-Bahlol, Takht-i-Bahāī, and many more which it would be tedious to enumerate. Some of the best sculptures come from Suwāt (Swāt), but the hostility of the wild tribes prevents systematic exploration of the antiquities beyond the British frontier.
