An anonymous picture from Bābū Sītarām's collection, labelled 'Umā worshipping Siva', reproduced (Plate LXVII) from a photograph kindly supplied by Dr. Coomaraswamy, may serve as a sample of its class. The landscape in that work shows traces of European influence; in Rāi Fath Chand's work the background is Indo-Persian.
