The British Museum possesses a specially interesting example of the work of Bihzād, one of the illustrations in the copy of the *Dārābnāmah*, a book of stories from the *Shāhnāmah*, formerly in the Royal Library at Lucknow, and supposed to have been prepared to Akbar’s order (B. M., Or. 4615; *Suppl. Cat.*, p. 385).³ This picture (Fol. 103, rev.) represents two men and a woman among conventional rock scenery, the foliage being treated with remarkable delicacy (Plate CXIII).
