¹ Hoernle had read the reverse legend as *Siṃhaghnābhijña* on one specimen (*J.A.S.B.*, Vol. LIX., Pt. I., Pl. 5). The plate, however does not justify the reading. It is doubtful whether this legend occurs on any type. See *J.R.A.S.*, 1893, p. 112.
