Only two types were issued by Skandagupta in large numbers. One of them was the Archer type, so popular in the two previous reigns. The other was his numismatic novelty, where we find Goddess Lakshmī, probably offering him the sovereignty of his empire, as described in one of his inscriptions. The unique coin of the Bayana hoard of the Chhattra type with the *biruda* Kramāditya is probably his issue. The same is most probably the case with the solitary coin of the Horseman type, bearing the legend *Kramājitaḥ* or *Kramādataḥ*.
