§ 73. Religious emblems. — As illustrating the religious history of this period, the coins of Kaniṣka and Huviṣka are important. They show a remarkable eclecticism; for on their reverses are represented Greek and Scythic divinities, deities of the Avesta and of the Vedas, and Buddha.
