Gold coins bearing the emblem universally adopted by the Pāṇḍyas in later times, viz. the fish, have been attributed to a period from the 7^th to the 10^th cent. A. D. (E.CSI. p. 120; **Plate V, 10**). Later copper coins show the influence of the Cola conquest in the middle of the 11^th cent. A.D. (v. inf. § 126).
