² On the whole, combining the evidence of Plate I No 18, the signs 𐀀, 𐀀 (J. XLIX) and this table, I opine that the sign represents a table of offerings, and is of Egyptian origin. It will follow as a corollary that the Sumerian and Proto-Elamitic forms are Egyptian origin.
