Although 𐀀 is a variant of 𐀁, 𐀂 does not appear to have any connection with 𐀃, their sequences being entirely different. This is not necessarily a matter of surprise, as there is no reason to assume that 𐀂 and 𐀁, or 𐀃 and 𐀄 were in any way connected as to their pictographic origin (see pictographic Table). And we have noted above how the similarity between the designs of the signs in Col. IV of Table XXV is purely coincidental.
