*erumināṭu* is almost certainly the same as LT *erumaināṭu*, the Mysore region (*mahiṣha-maṇḍala*) of Karnataka. The word *erumi* (Ta. *erumai*, Ka., Tu. *erme*, Go. *ermi*) 'buffalo' appears to preserve an ancient dialectal form.
