In addition to these cultures, many probably prehistoric sites discovered by Stein in Baluchistan and by Majumdar in Sind produced pottery that cannot, in the present state of our knowledge, be classified within the foregoing groups. Some of these sites (e.g. the Shahi-tump cemetery in Makran and the culture represented by pottery from Jhukar, Lohumjo-daro, and Chanhu-daro in Sind) are discussed in a later chapter (Chapter VI), where the evidence for their comparatively late date is given.
