The Nal copper tools are in part comparable with Harappā types, though the axes are dissimilar in outline. But the spearhead and the saw can be matched in the Harappā series, as can the long bar-chisels, and we shall see in Chapter VI that these tools provide a most important link between Nal and the mysterious copper implements of the Ganges Basin, which seem related to those of Harappā, but perhaps later in date.
