The Quetta pottery is described by me in *Ancient India*, no. 3 (1947), 113–142, and the remainder of the Baluchistan wares in *ibid.*, 1 (1946), 8–26. I have also utilized unpublished material obtained by Majumdar on his last journey in Sind, by the kindness of Mr Krishna Deva, and the account of Tharro Hill is based on my own field-work there in 1943. The Nal cemetery is described by Hargreaves, *Excavations in Baluchistan 1925* (1929), and that at Bampur (Persian Makran) by Sir Aurel Stein in *Archaeological Reconnaissances in N.W. India and S.E. Iran* (1937), 106–110.
