a characteristic brick drain and well were found at Dabar Kot, but elsewhere little save incomplete plans of houses has been found in the trial trenches dug. At Amilano stone foundations are visible over much of the site and show that the whole lay-out was more or less homogeneous and oriented roughly on the cardinal points. The very small size of this settlement suggests that it might have been a posting-house or serai on a route leading towards the coast, following indeed the line taken today by the track from Hyderabad to Karachi, which runs past the site.
