The sculptures give us a little information about the clothing and hairdressing of the people – the short beards worn by the men, the hair bound back by a fillet with its two ends hanging down behind, the embroidered robe worn so as to leave the right shoulder bare. The abundant clay figurines of women, some probably toys, others godlings in household shrines, show, as do the comparable figures from Baluchistan, details of elaborate head-dresses and an abundance of necklets and ornaments, and such rich ornaments as we can deduce from the figures are in fact known from many finds in the Harappā sites.
