In addition to this bath-building, there was another large building some 230 by 78 feet, planned as a single architectural unit with a cloistered court reminiscent of that surrounding the Great Bath, and containing an arrangement of rooms that suggested to its excavator that it might be a communal establishment or ‘college’ of some sort: its plan is certainly unlike any of the normal house-plans known from the rest of the town. To the south of these buildings was another structure of equally curious plan, much altered and rebuilt but apparently originally a nearly square hall about 80 feet each way, with its roof supported on twenty rectangular pillars of brickwork.
