(1) In Orissa the Solar month of the Amli and Vilâyati eras begins on the day of Sankrânti, at whatever moment of the day the latter may happen. Accordingly in Orissa, the three Solar months above named would begin on the Sankrânti days, *i.e.*, the 14th June 1910, the 15th December 1910 and 13th January 1911 respectively.
