[Narasimha is said in some records to have ‘conquered Ceylon’, but this is a poetic exaggeration. He only sent troops to Ceylon to assist Mānavamma to recover his throne, about A.D. 668. (Cf. the Mahāwamśa, ch. xlvii.)]
