A.D. 749, April 7. Kēndūr plates, Poona District, an inscription in the sixth year of W. Chāḷukya, Kirttivarma II. The date is a sound one, and proves his accession as after April 7, 743. It is stated that he entered Kāñchi but spared it, whence it must be assumed that he accompanied his father when he entered that city. (Ep. Ind. ix, 200.)
