A.D. 808, July 27. Rādhanpūr plates of Rāshṭrakūṭa Gōvinda III. He was then at Mayūrakhaṇḍi, a hill-fort near Nasik. The inscription relates, amongst other previous events of his reign, that he had transferred his capital to Malkhēḍ, and then sent an insolent message to the Vengi king, i.e., Vijayāditya alias Narēndra-Mrigarāja, commanding him to come and build the fortifications round the city. This must have been before A.D. 802 (see above). (E. I. vi, 239.)
