A.D. 855. Inscription in a temple near Tanjore records a gift made to a temple there by the Queen of the Pallava Nṛipatunga, in his second year. (Chronology according to Jouveau-Dubreuil). It shews Pallava influence at this period in Tanjore. (V. R. ii. Tanjore, 1270 ; 300 of 1901.)
