After this history is almost a blank in the extreme south till about the sixth century A.D. We know no name of any Chēra King after King Śey till the reign of Perum-Śēral Irumporai. No Chōḷa ruler's name is known till the date of Kō-Chcheṅgaṇ except a possible Subha-dēva. And with the exception of two names, with no guide as to relationship, no Pāṇḍya kings' names are known till the reign of Kaḍuṅgōn. The two names are Ugra-Peru-Vaḷudi (a title), and Nan-Māran. Perum-Śēral-Irumporai (Chēra), Kōchcheṅgaṇ (Chōḷa) and Kaḍuṅgōn (Pāṇḍya) all belong to the sixth century A.D. On the other hand we have full information of the flourishing Pallava dynasty of Kāñchi during the whole of this interval.
