⁴ The occasional reference to the Vikrama-saṃvat in Bihar as the *atīta-rājya* reckoning of Vikramāditya (cf. *JAS*, Letters, Vol. XX, p. 44) may be due to the influence of the popular Lakṣmaṇasena-saṃvat.
