The Sundarban plate⁵ of Lakṣmaṇasena seems to give the measurement of the gift land as 3 *Droṇas* 1 *Āḍhavāpa* 23 *Unmānas* and 2½ *Kākinīs*. It appears from this epigraph that the area of the *Unmāna* was theoretically 32 × 32 cubits= 704 square cubits corresponding to about 1/8 of a *Bīghā*, although actually, in the present case, it was 2304 square cubits, as the cubit is said specially to have been 36 *aṅgulas* in length instead of the usual 24 *aṅgulas*. This is not quite irreconcilable with the details gathered from other inscriptions discussed above. Since, as we have seen above, the *Ādhavāpa* was originally equal to about 5 *Bīghās* and the *Unmāna* may have been about 1/9 of a *Bīghā*, it is possible to suggest that 45 *Unmānas* made one *Ādhavāpa*. But it is impossible to be sure on this point in the present state of our knowledge, especially because the records of Vigrahapāla III appear to suggest that the number of *Udamānas* in an *Ādhavāpa* was divisible by 4 and was therefore an even number like 44, 48, 52, 56 or 60.
