The inscriptions of the Senas of Bengal refer to the Dek., pp. 27, 36; B. K. No. 154 of 1933-34. Bhāskarācārya’s Līlāvatī (1.³) gives the weight of a Gadyānaka as follows : 2 Yavas=1 Guñjā or Rati; 4 Ratis=1 Valla, 8 Vallas=1 Dharaṇa, 2 Dharaṇas=1 Gadyānaka. A Gadyānaka was thus 48 Ratis in weight.
