A large number of sites yielding this mixture of Harappan and Prabhas ware, were found by Pandya in Sorath and Madhya Saurashtra, but, we are not yet in a position to find out its origin. It is very important for comparative stratigraphy, as it provides a sure link with Central India and Rajasthan and also helps us in fixing the Kathiawad Harappan in its proper context. It also strengthens the possibility of Rangpur marking an isolated pocket of late Harappan elements, due to an isolated survival of Harappan ceramic without the new elements as in the rest of the Kathiawad peninsula.
