SUBRAHMAṆYĀ—The *Subrahmaṇyā* formula also had its definite rules of accentuation (I.2.37-38). It was a loud invocation addressed to Indra in the Jyotishṭoma and other Soma sacrifices (cf. *Kullūka* on *Manu*, IX.126; *Kāt. Śr.* IX.1.12; Haug, *Ait. Br.*, p. 260)¹.
