¹ There is a Tamil inscription in the as yet unpublished collection at Pudukoṭṭa referring itself to the ninth year of Muhammadi Suratana (Sultan Muhammad). The record is in the Gñānapurīśvara temple at Panaiyūr in the Tirumeyyan Taluk of Pudukoṭṭa, and refers to the settlement of a dispute without the interposition of Government or Royal officers.
