² Ep. Rep. for 1915, Sec. 32. This Muḍikoṇḍaśolapuram seems apparently another name for Gaṅgaikoṇḍaśolapuram, as Muḍikoṇḍa and Gaṅgaikoṇḍa are titles of Rājendra I; Ep. Rep. sec. 24 of 1910 and 200 of 1912. Rājendra I issued the orders conveyed in the Tiruvālaṅgāḍu plates from his palace at Muḍikoṇḍaśolapuram. This fact may be held to be conclusive in regard to the identity.
