S'ilāhāras were put in charge of Konkan by Kṛṣṇa I. In the time of Amoghavarsha Pullaśakti was ruling that province as a Rāṣṭrakūṭa feudatory²⁰ from his capital at Puri or modern Elephanta. Gujrat and Konkan, however, continued to be governed by Gujrat Rāṣṭrakūṭa feudatories down to 888 A.D., as the Bharoch plates of Kṛṣṇa II show.
