dynasty, (54) especially since neither Ayyaṇḍeva nor Kṛṣṇa is given even the courtesy title ‘Rājan.’ The place where they were living is also unknown; it might perhaps be suggested that since Taila was a son-in-law of the Chedi ruler Lakṣmaṇa, and since the northern parts of the Rāṣṭrakūṭa dominions first passed under his control, he may have been living somewhere in the northern portion of the state of Hyderabad.
