The discovery of the phallic-emblems in Celebes is far more interesting, because small terracotta phallic-emblems were discovered by me at Mohen-jo-daro in 1922-23 and by Rai Bahadur Dayaram Sahni at Harappa in 1923-24. These terracotta emblems are quite different from the early natural *liṅgas* of Mathurā or Guḍimallam. They are representations of the emblem of Virility in relief against a small plaque barely two inches in length. The phallus worship of these pre-Aryan civilizators of Indonesia once more ally them to the culture of the Chalcolithic people of the Indus Valley.
