The village Noḍḍilo granted by the Hindol plate to Vaidyanātha-Bhaṭṭāraka has been identified with Nandel in the Hindol state and the village Saloaṇpura of the Neurpur grant has been taken for Solaṇapura lying on the north bank of the Vaitarani. The northern limit of Tosala has, therefore, been stretched beyond the Vaitarani while the author suggested that the Mahanadi formed the northern boundary line of Tosala.
