The obverse legend is simply *Mahārājādhirāja-Śrī-Candraguptaḥ*. There is another variety of this class in which the circular legend on the obverse is fuller, *Deva-Śrī-Mahārājādhirāja-Śrī-Candraguptaḥ*. In the fourth class of this type we find the king hunting the lion with a sword instead of a bow and arrow. Once more the circular legend on the obverse is exactly as in Class I of this type.
