Though no large inscription has been discovered in the temples at Deogadh, Bhumra, and Nachna Kuthara, the dates of these three temples can be accurately deduced from short inscriptions and mason’s marks. From these data we can safely deduce that the flat-roofed temples of Bhumra and Nachna Kuthara belong to the Early Gupta period, which ended in the middle of the 6th century A.D. These two temples must be described before considering the Later and Post-Gupta temples.
