⁵ One born in India of an Arab father and an Indian mother probably from the Gujarati word *Adh-besra* meaning mixed blood. This seems the origin of the Balá Bayásirah. The performer in the case in the text was a Hindu. Al Masúdi (Murúj Arabic Text II, 87 Cairo Edition) says that the singular of Bayásirah is Besur.
