The inscription says further that Gautamiputra Śrī Śātakarṇi was king of the following countries: Asika, Asaka, Muḷaka, Suraṭha, Kukura, Aparanta, Anupa, Vidarbha, Ākarāvanti. Since these countries once formed part of the kingdom of the Kshaharātas, we may conclude that Śātakarṇi took possession of them after the destruction of the Kshaharātas (Suraṭha=Surāṣṭra=Kāṭhiāwāṛ; Ākaravanti=Mālwā; Aparanta=the region along the coast, north of Bombay.)
