The Châḷukya king Puḷakeśin II besieged Banavâsî (Aihole insc.) and, in the Kadamba country there are inscriptions of Puḷakeśin II (Sh, 10), Vikramâditya (Sa. 79), Vinayâditya (Sh. 154) and Vijayâditya (Sk. 278).
