Āhavamalla was succeeded, in A. D. 1183, by his younger brother Siṅghaṇa, of whom only one record has come to light,— the copper-plate charter from Bēhaṭṭi in the Dhārwār District,⁴ recording the grant, by Siṅghaṇa, of the village of Kukkanūr in the Nizām's Dominions, which is dated on the new-moon day of the month Āśvina of the *Śōbhakrit samvatsara*, *Śaka-Samvat* 1105 (expired), corresponding, approximately, to the 18th October, A. D. 1183. This record gives Siṅghaṇa the paramount title of *Mahārājādhirāja*, which shews that he actually ascended the throne. But we know nothing further about him. He was the last of his line. And in the same year, A. D. 1183, and probably in the early part of it, the sovereignty was restored, by the *Daṇḍanāyaka* Brahma or Barmarasa, to the Western Chālukyas, in the person of Sōmēśvara IV.
