³ Inscriptions at Śravaṇa-Belgoḷa, No. 81.—Mr. Rice (id. Introd. p. 54) has taken the date as being A. D. 1171, and so has referred this record to the time of the first Narasimha; but the designation *Pratâpa-Chakravartin* shews that this cannot be correct. It may possibly, however, be a record of Narasimha III., dated in A. D. 1291.
