² Before Taḷakâḍ, the translation mentions ‘Chakragoṭṭi.’ But it seems that there must be some mistake about this: The word can hardly denote any place except Chakragoṭṭa, which, being in Mâlwa, can have had nothing to do with the subjugation of the Gaṅgavâḍi province. And (though it is true there are other omissions also) no such name appears in the very similar enumeration which is given, e.g., in No. 144 of the same series of inscriptions.
