⁸ The first current year of the Kaliyuga era was B. C. 3102-3101. The only other epigraphic instance of the use of it, that I can quote, is the Aihole inscription of the Western Chalukya king Pulikêsin II., dated Kaliyuga-Samvat 3735 expired, coupled with Saka-Samvat 556 expired, = A.D. 634-35 (see page 357 above, No. 6).
