Messengers were sent to the Raja of Manipur calling on him to submit and pay tribute, and the Raja, feeling himself too weak to oppose so powerful a prince, at once complied with the requisition. His tribute was fixed at twenty thousand rupees, three hundred gold mohars and ten elephants.
