∗ Blochmann, relying on Prinsep, says that during this reign the Ahoms conquered North-East Bengal as far as the Karatōyā (J. A. S. B., 1873, p. 235). The source of Prinsep's information is not known, but the statement probably refers to this dispute with the Raja of Kāmatā.
