History of the Pallavas of Kanchi c11.s1.3

c11.s1.3

Apart from the inscriptions and copper-plate records dated directly in the years of the Pallava kings and discovered in the various parts of the Pallava kingdom, we have also records from the other contemporary dynasties such as those of Western Chālukyas, the early Pāṇḍyas, the Rāshṭrakūṭas, the Gangas, Kadambas, the Bānas and the Muttaraiyans. The records of this period also mention the Pallavas coming into contact with the Malavas, Kaḷabhras, Chōḷas, Kēraḷas, Siṃhaḷas, Tuḷus and the Konkaṇas; but we do not know much about the political condition of these people during this period.
