Some interesting details may be gathered from the copper-plates of this period regarding the king and his rule. Verse 14 of the Bāhūr plates says that Nandivarman III had for his queen a Rāshṭrakūṭa princess called Śankā ‘who was kind to the people like a mother, was resplendent as Lakshmi incarnate.'
